Castle to be renovated - Near Seguret
This property of contiguous grounds is locatedin the North of the Vaucluse, at the heart of the Côtes du Rhône. Near to the tourist-loved Dentelles de Montmirail hillsides (Gigondas, Séguret) it is not far from an authentic village with all facilities. It enjoys a most pleasurable environment and has views of its gardens, vineyard and the surrounding countryside. It is very easy to reach.
The vineyard is planted on a limestone soil and covers 6 ha of AOP Côtes du Rhône. The varietals planted are essentially Grenache and Syrah. The vineyard is well kept, excluding one plot which needs to be renewed. Currently a contractor farms the vines and lifts the harvest.
The remaining land is made up of gardens with century old trees.
At the heart of its grounds, the château is naturally preserved and boasts a magnificent drive lined with one hundred year old plane trees. The château was built over several eras which date back to the XVIth century. Flanked by two turreted towers, it has retained all of its charm, and offers more than 1 000 m² of living area. The South-facing facade leads to a terrace and has fine views of the vineyard and the roman chapel which belongs to the property. The chapel needs to be fully renovated. Adjoining the château is a farmhouse of approximately 300m² spread over three levels. It is currently used by one of the owners and needs refurbishment.
The gardens boast various fountains and water basins. The property has both state water and a spring. A small river borders the château grounds to the West. 400 m² of outbuildings, which adjoin the château, need to be renovated: farmhouse, stables, sheds...
